Dealing with rubbish in Alloa and Methven

A blot on the landscape at the entrance to the 'Devon Way' in Alloa just over the Argyll Street footbridge is the amount of litter lying around.  This area has been beautifully landscaped and has a first class cycle track but has a lot of litter lying there.  The Conservative team managed to collect a host of rubbish from the area, hopefully making it much more pleasant for the local community.

The Conservatives are also going to suggest to Clackmannanshire Council that they can do their bit to help by installing some litter bins.  Several red bins for dog mess were in evidence but not one for litter.

Another blot on the landscape is in Methven.  For years there has been piles of litter behind the village general store - which is also a right of way.  And as in Alloa, Conservatives, this time led by Elizabeth Smith MSP, were able to collect a dozen sacks and arranged for them to be removed by Perth & Kinross Council.
