
Abernethy/Glenfarg Branch had a Coffee Morning in the beautiful garden of Col Ian Cartwright on
Saturday 16th July. The weather had been awful earlier but the sun shone for the Coffee Morning and
a lovely morning of coffee, home baked goodies and chat was had by all.

The Conservative Council Group in Perth & Kinross, donated a new flag
to replace the old torn one on the front of the County Buildings in Kinross
Cllr Alexander Stewart, Liz Smith MSP and Cllr Kathleen Baird presented it
in time for the Royal Wedding on 29th April

Liz was a visitor to the early morning shift at Crieff Post
Office to watch local posties take charge of the hectic Christmas mail sort. She
spoke with several posties about the problems they had encountered in the recent
bad weather and praised them for all the work they had done to catch up on
delays which had been caused by difficulties in the central office in Edinburgh.

Despite the snow, the Assocation held a successful Coffee Morning
in Bridge of Earn in November.

Liz visited Scallywags Nursery in Crieff

The group watched First Ministers Questions before meeting with
Mid Scotland & Fife Conservative MSP, Liz Smith who spoke about her role as an MSP
Lord Forsyth of Drumlean gave a very informative and entertaining speech at the
Association Dinner at Solsgirth House on 24th September
Thanks to Bernie and Denise Burgin who were our hosts for the evening

The weather stayed fine for the Abernethy/Gelnfarg barbecue at Dron
on Sunday 22nd August.

END OF TERM AT ARDVRECK
On Saturday 3rd July Prize Giving took place on the last day of the summer term at Ardvreck.
Elizabeth Smith MSP, and one of the school's visiting cricket coaches, was the Guest of Honour
and she is seen here with the Headmaster,Peter Sutton, and 6th Form leaver Charlie Leckie
as they prepare to lower the school flag to herald the start of the holiday.
