A Borders man, John Lamont is the Conservative Candidate in Ettrick, Roxburgh & Berwickshire. He won the Scottish Parliamentary constituency of Roxburgh & Berwickshire in May 2007 with a swing of 9.4% from the Liberal Democrats.
John is well known as an active campaigner in the Borders and travels throughout the constituency to support local people and the issues important to them.
His position in the Scottish Parliament of Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Justice, reflects his experience and belief in strong local communities and his desire to lead the fight against crime and violent behaviour.
The son of a Berwickshire farmer and a local teacher, John knows the Borders like the back of his hand.
