Campaign For A New Victoria

Local Conservatives have never been against the new buildings being thrown up across from the Victoria Infirmary.  What we have been against, and remain opposed to, is the loss of Scotland’s busiest Accident & Emergency unit from a location at the heart of the population it is designed to serve.

The Ambulatory Care And Diagnostic centre (ACAD) the Victoria Infirmary is currently being replaced with is not a “hospital” as Labour frequently claim.  It is in fact a day care health centre with no acute service beds and no way of saving life if some of the more invasive procedures this ACAD will conduct on a day-to-day basis go wrong.

Please add your name to our petition demanding Accident & Emergency be retained at the New Victoria buildings – ensuring it remains a hospital at the heart of its population.
